Every Sunday our church remembers Jesus’ death by sharing together in communion. Communion preparers prepare the bread and juice one Sunday each quarter. Communion preparers also take thirty minutes after worship to clean up the communion trays and store them in preparation for the following week.

Chair crew members set up and take down the chairs in our worship center once every four to six weeks. Working in teams of eight, a chair crew can set up the room in about an hour. As you set up there is a great opportunity to pray for the people who will be sitting in the chairs that Sunday.

If you can think back to your first Sunday at SLCC you probably remember receiving a loaf of homemade bread. Participants on our Bread Team bake bread as needed to give to our Sunday guests.

Securing our building after Sunday worship is important. Our Lock-up Team volunteers linger after worship gathering once every six weeks and walk through the building to make sure all doors are locked and that the lights are shut off.

First impressions are important. That is why our “Green Team” makes sure that the landscaping and lawn look their best. If you have a green thumb and think a beautiful yard is important, we want you! We need families who will “adopt an island” in our parking lot to make sure it remains weed-free all summer.
