Life Interrupted

Some people love life’s interruptions. Especially when they break up the monotony and provide relief from the daily grind. A friend drops by. Ten-minutes of Tik-Tok between projects. Still, most of our “interruptions” are planned. We schedule vacations. We plan birthdays and holidays months in advance. Then there are the interruptions we hate. Cancer. Divorce. The loss of a job. A child. A dream. Each of us experience unwanted interruptions at some point in our lives. When that happens, when we experience pain, rejection, and failure, our world is upended and we’re left trying to make sense of it. How we experience interruptions affects our faith, our future and, ultimately, our understanding of the God who orchestrates our lives.
