At
SLCC, we
SEEK God, STUDY His Word, and SERVE Him.
We live out our beliefs by:
Seeking God
- INDIVIDUALLY - We set aside time for a daily
private encounter with Him. (Psalm 119:147; Mark
1:35)
- TOGETHER - We do this through our weekly worship
assembly as we sing to God, bring our tithes and
offerings to give to Him, listen to a Bible
teaching, and participate in a weekly communion
service. (Hebrews 10:24-25, Ephesians 5:19; Acts
20:7, Malachi 3:10)
Studying God
- INDIVIDUALLY - Southies examine the scriptures
every day to learn what is true. (Acts 17:11)
- TOGETHER - Every member at South is a part of a
smaller group. Some meet on Sunday mornings before
our worship assembly. Some meet on Wednesday nights
during Building U. Others meet outside our church
buildings at various times and places. As we study
together, we benefit from one another's growing
relationship with Jesus Christ and are challenged to
put God's command to love one another into practice.

Serving God
- INSIDE THE CHURCH - Every member at South is a
minister. We use our gifts for the good of one
another. (Ephesians 4:11-16)
- OUTSIDE THE CHURCH - Southies serve their world.
Our faith is lived out in specific ways in which we
bless our community by meeting the needs of those we
encounter. (Matthew 25:31-46)
