Face Time - The prayer life of the church is broken. Why? Because the prayer life of the typical Christian is, too. We seek God’s hand, but not his face. Listen to the average believer pray. What do you hear? A desperate heart seeking God’s will? An unquenched spirit crying out to God to know him more? Or a list of needs and wants. A healing. A job. A repaired car. What if there is so much more? What if we are missing out on a face-to-face encounter with the Living God simply because, in our prayerlessness, we have declared our spiritual independence from God? Is it wrong to come to God with our needs? Of course not. Every loving Father desires to meet the needs of his child. But more than that, every Father wants to be with his children.  Face time. It is the only path to intimacy with God.
