RADICAL - He challenged the leading religious authorities of his day. He turned their finely crafted theological arguments on end. He called his disciples to leave families, homes, jobs and the security that comes with each of these to come and follow him. So unconventional was he that, though his preaching stirred the hearts of many to follow him, just as many turned their backs on him, repulsed by what they heard. He was so nonconforming that they eventually killed him. He was, in a word, radical. And he calls us to be as well.
