In Matthew 25, Jesus tells his followers that that when they feed the hungry, welcome the stranger, cloth the needy, and visit the sick they are really doing all these things for him. We want to serve Jesus in these ways, and the Lansing City Rescue Mission is giving us the opportunity!
We will be serving supper at the Women's & Children's shelter on Friday, August 22. Meet at South Lansing Christian Church at 5, and we will head over to the shelter together. Afterword, we will be getting ice cream together at Sweet Sensations, so bring some spending money. We should arrive back at church around 9pm. Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes, pulled-back hair, and avoid sleeveless shirts.
